Longview stands as a climate ambassador to illustrate the connection between carbon footprints, habitat loss and human activity. This “Icon from the Arctic” in the fight against climate change starts her journey late August at this year’s Burning Man event reaching 80,000 directly and over a million through social media. She then tours the country and internationally for three years. From zoos to public events to parks to schools Longview will invigorate the global warming conversation while offering a loving connection to all who view her.
We are partnering with local, regional, national and global communities to leverage her monumental presence, increase awareness and deliver practical solutions for reducing each person’s footprint on our planet.
The freestanding, fully engineered, sculpture weighs in at 7 tons, is composed of eight demountable sections and travels on two full sized semi-trailers along with power, lighting and technical equipment. Longview placements can last from a week to three months. The North American tour schedule is filling up fast.
At night she has hours of digital video content covering her white surfaces by projector and RGB/DMX computer-controlled lighting, a massive consciousness raising experience!

This year’s Burning Man event in Northern Nevada will draw an attendance of 80,000 plus staff. The Burning Man Organization has awarded Longview a $25,000 honorarium, matched by DKLA in-kind and added to by five confirmed $10,000/10% ownership positions.
The launch of Longview will include hours of night-time digitally mapped video projection on her 36’ tall white car hood surface. We are running an Indiegogo crowd sourcing campaign for this portion of expenses which has passed $11,000 to date. We are seeking additional donors who can benefit from 501(c)3 tax credits through our fiscal partner Burning Man Projects.
The schedule for three years of Longview touring is generating interest from clients such as the State of California/Governor Brown’s Office to the Las Vegas, NV “Life is Beautiful” festival to the Philadelphia Zoo and more.
The first booking has been secured as a key public art event for the Global Climate Action Summit in the City of San Francisco where Longview will be placed along the Pier/Ferry Building. Well over a million viewers will interact with her during that placement.
